ACOS 2024 - Visit My Studio!

I am very excited to be opening my studio to the general public 23 - 24 November. I am participating in the annual Australian Ceramics Open Studios event for 2024. Just under 200 potters Australia wide will be opening their studios on this weekend.

Last year was my first open studio about which I initially felt some trepidation due to a general feeling of not ‘being good enough’ as a practitioner. I quickly learned what a nonsense this insecurity was. Potters of all levels of experience in studios that ranged from the home garage or garden shed to highly professional outfits participated. Better than that though, was the support and reassurance provided by the Australian Ceramics Association, other potters…. AND the people who came to visit. It became the highlight of my creative practice last year. I am looking forward with keen anticipation to meeting those who come along this year and enjoying the ambience of my studio without working!

The details are as follows:

Street Address: 220 Ellis Road BELLENDEK KER QLD 4871. I will have signs up on the highway and to guide you here. We live in the foothills of Mt Bellenden Ker, so as you approach the end of the cleared country, just continue up the road into the forest. We are not far in on the right. It will have plenty of signage!

Opening Hours: 10am - 4pm on both Saturday 23 November and Sunday 24 November
